Mar 31, 2020 JEI's search box can be seen from (almost) any GUI in the bottom right of the screen. Hovering over an item and pressing the 'R' key (for Recipe) will display that item's recipe while pressing the 'U' key (for Use) shows what that item can be used to create through crafting grids. Both of these keys can be changed in the mod's config file. Company of heroes opposing fronts product key generator. Title Test Test Answer Key Worksheet Answer Key; L. Detective: L.A. - *There is information about ore generation in the #ore-distribution channel, which will help you when looking for specific ores.
- *When you first start playing, a lot of keybinds are conflicting with each other, due to different mods using the same key for different functions. This usually doesn’t hinder your gameplay at first, but will slowly turn out to be a problem, where you can’t use certain things. You can Search the controls by name of the function, category, keys themselves and can even just highlight “Show Conflicts”, where you can just remove a keybind by pressing ESC when binding it. You can always add a keybind back later if you need it.
- * Although it’s recommended to follow the questbook, especially if you’re new to an experience such as this modpack, it is completely optional. It’s possible to skip ahead and later come back to the quests if you urgently need a specific machine or item.
- *You will spawn with a backpack that you can put into your chest bauble slot and open via a hotkey. This hotkey can be found in controls as “Open Backpack”. Disclaimer: Some people find themselves losing their backpack when they reclaim a grave. It will usually be in the bauble slot if this happens.
- This backpack can be upgraded relatively cheaply and provides a great early storage for your journeys. Just remember to empty it out before upgrading, otherwise all the contents will be voided.
- *Exploration is a big part of this pack. Not only will it yield you resources that you otherwise won’t be able to make until way later in progression, but it can also ease your start into the game if you find some treats in the various structures that can generate. Villages usually provide a number of great things like Immersive Engineering storage crates, Actually additions “small” Crates and various crops.
- *It is usually advised to start your base somewhere where you have space to expand, as you’ll need the space later on when you get more machines and complex structures. With plenty of generated structures around, some are more fit to live in than others. It’s not too uncommon for a seemingly innocent hut in the forest to have spawners and dangerous enemies in it. Also keep in mind that some biomes are more dangerous to live in than others, thanks to mowzie's mobs, ice& fire and others.
- *The mod FTButils allows you to make teams and claim land, which can prevent other players from meddling with your things. These claims can also disable mobgrief like creeper explosions, so it’s much adviced to properly claim your base right away. You can find the needed menus in the top-left of your inventory screen. By default, your maximum number of claims will be limited and can be increased with more members in a team. Shift-claiming a chunk also allows you to easily chunkload a claim early game. Disclaimer: This type of chunkloading can behave weirdly with some things later on in progression, where it is advised to use ChickenChunks chunk/spot loaders instead.
- *Inventory management will start to be a pain once you get a lot of loot from dungeons and other things from mining and gathering. The aforementioned “small” crates, upgraded chests and Drawer systems will help this to a great extent. There is also a function that allows you to use JEI to search for items in all surrounding inventories. By default, this is the “T” key – it can be found in controls as “Search nearby inventories for item” -, which you press while hovering over the item in either your inventory or JEI directly. Disclaimer: This function conflicts with any bibliocraft blocks and will NOT function if they are nearby.
- *There are usually two main types of dungeons which people will speak a lot of: Doomlikes and Roguelikes. Although they might not sound very different, their structure and loot however are very different. Doomlike dungeons are most commonly found as simple boxes on the surface with either a spiral staircase or a ladder leading down into maze-like corridors filled with spawners. They can have very good Gear and high-end items like ancient dust, majestic ingots and boosting mixture. Roguelike dungeons on the other hand can come in a number of different structures on the surface, depending on the biome they’re in and will always have a spiral staircase leading down. They have multiple layers and will have iron bars blocking of the different corridors. These dungeons are great for early starting equipment, food and enchanted books for your gear.
- *Vanilla animals have been replaced with the Animania mod equivalents in this pack. This will change their behaviour and the ways of keeping them quite a bit. The mod has an official wiki and can be handy to learn how to care for your animals and make proper use of them. Disclaimer: Animania animals can eat botania flowers and crops on your fields! Fence in your animals or you might lose precious mystical agriculture seeds.
- *For early game food sources, random berries and plants you can find in the wild aren’t a bad idea. Most foods have their saturation value adjusted though, so you won’t have great food right away. You can sometimes find decent food in dungeons and other locations. It’s recommended to start a simple farm as soon as possible, to have the variety of plants added by Pam’s harvestcraft available for crafting when you need it.
